Since the beginning of the school year, several parents have mentioned to us the challenge they face in explaining the value of money to their children.

I often ask myself what our children think about the Euro crisis, the banking problems, and the environment they will face when they enter the job market.

Their global understanding is a lot broader and deeper than ours when we were their age. Will this generation be raised in a digital world, and well tuned in global events, adopt our current financial concepts?

In order to share some “lessons learnt” between generations, Winford and the leading international business school IMD are organizing a learning event for all Winford parents, potential parents and Winford students aged 16 and above with good command of the English language.

“Finance for the next generation: 
Challenge parents’ beliefs”

IMD Professor Arturo Bris, will lead the session to create an understanding for both generations and jointly prepare them for a fresh view on finance. Selected IMD executive alumni will also participate in the session together with their daughter or son.

Professor Arturo Bris is Spanish; he is currently Professor of Finance at IMD in Lausanne Switzerland, holds a Master in Law, Finance and Economics from

the University of Madrid, a PhD from Insead. He has taught at Yale in the U.S. and received several Best Teacher Awards; he is also father of teenagers, and challenged to rethink his view of the financial world.
