Dutch National Curriculum

Winford Bilingual is a private Dutch Primary School, and the Dutch curriculum sits at the base of all that we do. The annual Dutch national testing (CITO) begins at the age of five. Our Dutch language curriculum is Veilig Leren Lezen. We have a professional tutoring company, Nimbles, who observe and assess the technical Dutch reading of our students.

As a result of our approach, our pupils are completely immersed in English and Dutch throughout every school day and can switch easily between the two languages. This approach aims to ensure that children who have been with us from the age of 4 can move into any Dutch or International school at any level.
