I am the director of the Winford Bilingual Primary School Programme. I earned my undergraduate degrees in Primary School Education and Special Education (k-18). I have completed post graduate work in Montessori education, Orton-Gillingham Language Speech/Language Therapy, Montessori Teacher Training, Brain Gym Kinesiology and I am a certified PADI divemaster. I have over 22 years of classroom experience as a teacher, therapist and education specialist. I was working at the Smithsonian Institution as the lead docent educator for divergent learners and Primary schools when I realized that I loved the Dutch culture and environment. So I decided to move to the Netherlands to work and live. When I am not working or walking on the beach, you can find me cycling on my Dutch fiets (bike) or scuba diving anywhere where the water is clear and the sun is shining.
Tarryn de Klerk
English Teacher
I come from sunny South Africa, and moved to the Netherlands in 2017 to au pair for an amazing Dutch family in The Hague. This, along with my previous experience in coaching junior gymnastics in South Africa, sparked my passion to work with children. I studied teaching at Stenden University in Meppel, where I qualified with a Bachelor of Education degree in the Netherlands (International Teaching Education for Primary Schools)
It is a privilege but also a huge responsibility to be able to help shape the minds of our future generations. My focus and goal will be to create a love for learning in my students, and I am a firm believer in a hands-on approach to teaching, incorporating fun and inclusive teaching methods in the classroom. I love the idea of the bilingual schooling system, as it allows for a culturally inclusive environment, where students get to learn two languages and to excel in both.
I am an adventurer by heart, and when I am not working, I enjoy travelling to new countries to experience new cultures, places and people. I also like to read and draw in my free time, and love finding cute and quiet cafes to do so.
Jenni Iyoyo
Marketing and Admissions Manager
I have worked for 23 years in international schools taking care of admissions, public relations and marketing. I love working in a school environment and connecting with new people. I am delighted to join Winford Bilingual on their exciting journey. In my spare time I go to yoga and circuit training classes, volunteer in two committees, and sing in a gospel choir.
